CHALLENGE:
A mid-size hospital recognized that its inpatient pharmacy had unrealized potential to contribute to the organization’s overall performance—financially, clinically and operationally. The pharmacy had a number of opportunities for improvement in several areas, including regulatory compliance, purchasing, clinical operations and systems upgrades. Hospital leadership engaged CPS to identify ways to transform the pharmacy into a 21st century operation.
